Homeless people get gifts for Christmas

In order to make sure every family was able to celebrate Christmas, some students and staff members provided various items for some poor people. The people who helped were Mrs. Wolff, Mrs. Howe, Mrs. Pileggi, Mrs. Morales, Mrs Keenan,  Mrs. Altu, students, Jake Wolff, Derek Leiter, Mikayla Piliggi,  John Schwarcbeck and MHS staff. This is what was provided:

1. The food that was brought was hot chocolate, bread, ham, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, biscuits, apples, granola bars, candy, drink mix, celery and chips.

The family consisted of a mother, a 12 year old girl and a 7 year old girl. Many gifts were provided such as toys, clothes, shoes, jewelry, makeup, perfume, and gift card for food. One bag of gifts was provided for the mother to label for her kids in order to make her feel proud.

Mrs Wolff commented on the subject by stating the following:

"I think personally giving the gifts was the best part of our Christmas. It feels good to get things but it feels even better to give things. It made me sad to know that these girls would have nothing for Christmas. The little girl only had one book and it made her so happy."

Mrs Wolff=food
Keenan=gifts they secretly wanted
Mikayla=donated Christmas tree
Jake=gave toys

Children got to see how fortunate they were to have a lot of toys. Kids showed great compassion for their fellow classmates which show the true meaning of christmas. Mrs Wolff has a way of speaking to the children and helping them understand the true meaning of Christmas.
