4th graders pumpkins

Today we asked Ms. Livolsi a 4th grade teacher about their students when they carved pumpkins. She told us that "they worked in teams , 4 or 5 people."  They had to estimate the number of seeds , they had a raffle to see who would take the pumpkin seeds and they carved the pumpkins.  They created spooky Jack O' Lanterns. They had a lot of fun and did a great job!

Day of the Dead By Valerie C and Madeline T.

The third graders in Mrs. Williams' art class are celebrating El Dia De Los Muertos which is also called the Day of the Dead! This Mexican holiday takes place on November 1st and 2nd. This holiday is meant to celebrate family members, relatives, friends, and other people who have passed away. Mrs. Williams had her third grade class decorate sugar skulls, which are used on that holiday. They decorated the sugar skulls using lines, patterns, and symmetry, using colorful stencils. We hope you enjoy the artwork as much as we did!

Meadow hill's 6-8 Elections! by Alexandra T and Mark R

Our school's elections are coming up soon and the candidates are getting ready to prove that they're right for the job. The posters haven't gone up and students are already guessing who's going to win! Similar to the real elections only one can win and students are going to have to pick a side. The positions students are running for are: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and PR Officer. Multiple students will run and the winners will be revealed in November along with the future president of the U.S. Once you meet the candidates be ready to listen and pick a side!
